Um… Yellow Much?

So, I was surf­ing around, look­ing for some­thing other than the point of this post when I found the point of this post.  Two words…  Just awful.  Clearly this is a nine-year-old kid’s idea of cool, but some­one needs to tell him, “NO!”  …and then, maybe rub his nose against his screen.

Yel­low and Kraptastic!

Yel­low is not a good color for any­thing other than police tape, the gates at the park­ing garage and flow­ers (maybe lemons).  This site is, I think, called Mew’s Web­page.  I say “I think” because there is some­thing pur­ple (ish) in the mid­dle of the page, and it looks like it’s big­ger than the rest.  I can only assume this is the page title.

So, we have the ugli­est web­site in the world.  What could pos­si­bly make it worse?  Music.  There are links to every krappy midi in the poke­mon and neo-pet uni­verse.  The “designer” of this site decided to use the term “Neopets Cheats” so as to get loads of traf­fic, then sub­ject the poor saps who hap­pened along to midi music.

Well, at least there are no ani­mated gifs…  wait, yes there are. There is an unspo­ken rule in web suck­ery.  If there aren’t any mov­ing graph­i­cal mon­strosi­ties on the main page, there absolutely MUST be a huge col­lec­tion of them on some sub­se­quent page.

Let’s say you were curi­ous as to the lyrics to the Pok­eRap (1 and 2) and the Team Rocket Motto.  There’s a page for that.  Unfor­tu­nately, you can’t read the lyrics due to the idi­otic choice of col­ors, so you’ll just have to go on not know­ing.  There, there… We’ll have other opportunities

Long and short, idiots with a bro­ken copy of Front­Page 4 who are obsessed with stu­pid Japan­ese games should NOT design websites.
